|
PIERRE,
S.D. ‚ Eighty-four new jobs are heading to North Sioux City.
Edge Teleservices, Inc. (Edge) an outbound and inbound teleservices
company, is expanding its business with the purchase of the building
it previously leased at 215 Freedom Drive in North Sioux City.
The purchase of the building will allow the company to utilize
additional space, and make way for more employees.
"We are pleased to see Edge succeed in South Dakota," said Bill
Even, director of the Governor's Office of Economic Development.
"This is another example of the progress South Dakota is making
toward realizing the state's 2010 Initiative goals and diversifying
the economic base of North Sioux City."
Edge will utilize $315,000 from the state's Revolving Economic
Development and Initiative (REDI) Fund to purchase the facility.
The company also has call centers in Fremont, Neb. and Glendale,
Cal. but sees the North Sioux City location as a key to its future
success. "Doing business in South Dakota has proven to be a smart
decision. The access we have to state leaders and productive workers
made the choice to expand here easy. South Dakota just makes good
business sense," said Thomas Wogan, CEO of Edge.
"This is great news for the entire North Sioux City region," said
Kory Menken, Executive Director of North Sioux City's Economic
Development Corporation. "Edge is a great member of the city and
state's business community, and we look forward to seeing them
experience even more success here."
